Best Buddies Arizona and CORE, our state YLC, hosted their 4th Annual Time to Shine art and talent show for buddies who participate in the school friendship chapters in Arizona. Applications ofr the event are sent out in May and then the buddies register for either the Art and Talent track or in some cases both tracks For the second year in a row, I signed up to be part of the Talent Track but this time I was a member of CORE, BBAZ's State YLC. I had the opportunity to plan the talent and art track. I had to attend all the workshops for several weeks but I was given the opportunity to practice singing TobyMac's "Speak Life", is a Christian music song that talked up using your voice to advocate for those who are brokenhearted or struggling. I chose Speak Life since I did many months of research and struggled to find a song that I wanted to sing that related to the Best Buddies mission.
