Jack Mayor is an inspiration with his speeches about Best Buddies and his friendship with his buddy Josie. Jack and Josie were matched with each other through their high school's Bst Buddies club. Jack and Josie recently celebrated 5 years of friendship.  Before Best Buddies, Jack was depressed and had a severe case of OCD. He lost it. Then his parents talked to his teaches at Neuqua Valley High School to explore changing classes around for Jack. Then they found Best Buddies and Jack's life changed. Jack met his peer buddy Josie Rund through their high school's Best Buddies club. They danced at homecoming and Spring Fling.  Josie even celebrated "Mayor Thanksgiving" with Jack and his family of 32 cousins. Jack attended his first leadership conference for Best Buddies in 2017. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and this year's theme is The Right Talent, Right now! Many people with disabilities like autism don't have a job to look forward to going to every day because of the lack of employment opportunities that await them.  I have worked numerous jobs throughout my life. I have at worked a school, a skincare company Omni Bioceutical Innovations and worked at Emily Taylor Law Firm.  I have interned twice for Best Buddies AZ. Once in high school assisting with office tasks like copying,  office supply organization and answering the phones.  Th en again in the summer of 2017 assisting with the same tasks. I gained valuable job experience even though I knew the people I worked with.  Working for Best Buddies helped me realize I wanted to work in an office setting.  I currently work at the Arizona School Boards Association and have been there for coming on two years next month, November.
